Hurricanes set to take on best at CCAA Nationals

The Holland Hurricanes women’s curling team is in Fredericton, New Brunswick this week for the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) National Curling Championships hosted by Curling Canada at the Willie O'Ree Place.

The Hurricanes team is led by head coach Shelly Bradley, and is made up of Cynthia Pearson (skip), Meghan Ching (third), Danielle Collings (second) and Tegan Stride (lead)

Round robin play begins on Friday at 8:30am when the Hurricanes take on the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings (Camrose, AB).  They will play their second and final game of the day at 4:30pm when they play the Fleming College Knights (Peterborough, ON).

Play resumes on Saturday at 8:30am with a match versus the Fanshawe College Falcons (London, ON) before taking on the Grant MacEwen University Griffins (Edmonton, AB) at 4:30pm.

On Sunday the Hurricanes will challenge the Douglas College Royals (New Westminster, BC) at 12:30pm with another match taking place at 8:30pm versus the Humber College Hawks (Etobicoke, ON).

Round-robin play will conclude at 12:30pm on Monday when the ‘Canes take on the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) Ooks.

Semi-final play will take place at 7pm on Monday with the championship games taking place on Tuesday at 12:30pm.
